“JUST MEN” All Male Initiative
African American and Latino male educators, social workers, artist, entrepreneurs, mental health practitioners, law and safety, government officials and corporate advisors working together to engage and educate their community about trauma and culturally informed approaches to education and violence prevention.
BCHI Youth Ambassadors Mentoring Program
How to close the “generational gap” between young and older Black/Brown men. BCHI “JUST MEN” are working directly with the schools, and organizations to provide academic support and violence prevention programming.
- They will address Unhealthy behaviors in at-risk youth while offering positive lifestyles
- Help youth make informed and healthier life choices.
- Provide mentoring support with a focus on confidence building, mental and physical health, leadership, conflict resolution, bullying, family and community engagement, education, and the arts.
After completing the one-day training students will receive a BCHI Certificate and a BCHI Youth Ambassador Toolkit
BCHI Music & Movement Healing Art Therapy Program
Healing through Music and Movement Art therapy will focus on preventative strategies such as therapeutic support through music, movement, self-defense, sound/drumming, self-care, with a holistic approach to address the trauma, mental health, elevated levels of stress, anxiety, and burnout while working in this profession and navigating life.
